DIRECTOR and some of the MAJOR CASTS

Director:Martin Campbell
The guy who brought us Banderas' Zorro and Revitalized the James Bond series, twice. I believe he will bring us a good Green Lantern movie.

Green Lantern/Hal Jordan:Ryan Reynolds
The guy who plays Hannibal King, the wise cracking Wade Wilson aka the Merc with a Mouth Deadpool will now play Green Lantern, not enough superhero yet? Next time he'll play your Momma.

Carol Ferris: Blake Lively
Gossip Girl is something I won't touch with a ten feet pole, so I don't know anything about this girl.

Hector Hammond: Peter Sarsgaard
With a name like Sarsgaard you know you'd be the villain. Has that piratey sound to its name err... Sarsssss....gaarrrrrrrd....

Senator Hammond:Tim Robbins
CBM geek creds... well he was in Howard the Duck.

LIVE CBM HISTORY 101
For they who are not one of us :)

Brief Comic History:
Green Lantern is a name shared by several fictional characters in DC Comics. The first who bear the name Green Lantern was Alan Scott, he was created by writer Bill Finger and artist Martin Nodell in All-American Comics #16 (July 1940).

The Silver Age Green Lantern was Hal Jordan, he was a test pilot that was given a power ring by a dying alien, Abin Sur, and he became part of the Green Lantern Corps, an interstellar organization of police overseen by the Guardians of the Universe. This Green Lantern was introduced in Showcase #22 (September-October 1959).

Live CBM History:
(1979)
Green Lantern in live media was first portrayed by Howard Murphy in the live action Legends of the Superheroes TV specials in 1979.

(1997)
The unsuccessful 1997 pilot for a live-action Justice League of America television series included another Green Lantern, Guy Gardner, played by Matthew Settle. This Green Lantern is an amalgamation of many of Green Lanterns, he uses the name Guy Gardner, his costume is a mix of Guy's and another GL Kyle Rayner and he has some of Hal Jordan's personality.

(2010)
The Golden Age Green Lantern, Alan Scott cameod out of costume in Smallville, though his power ring is visible in his hand.

  1. I don't know why Green Lantern doesn't have his own movie yet, if he is an iconic character. I have waited for this film during a long long time.
