Brief Comic History:
Iron Man is a superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character's first appearance is in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963), and was created by writer-editor Stan Lee, scripter Larry Lieber, and artists Don Heck and Jack Kirby.
Tony Stark as Iron Man possesses powered armor that gives him superhuman strength and durability, flight, and an array of weapons.
Live CBM History:

Iron Man's first foray in to live media is in 2008. Iron Man is an American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character. The movie is directed by Jon Favreau, and stars Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark, a billionaire industrialist and master engineer who builds a powered exoskeleton and becomes the technologically advanced superhero, Iron Man.
