Contact Music reports that Spider-man Mary Jane, Kirsten Dunst, is being written out of the third sequel of Spider-Man. Rumor has it a new love interest is being introduced to be played by Anne Hathaway. Hathaway has long been rumored to play Black Cat or the (cringe inducing)Vulturess(note Vulturess is not an actual comicbook character).
Source's says, "The plan is for her character to be written out, probably by dying. " The supposed new character will take over as Peter Parker's new love interest for the new film and possibly its sequels.
