"I have been planning to destroy the Breakworld since I was a child... (awkward pause) ... This is why I don't make so many jokes. I never know when is good." --Colossus
We have run through the members of X-MEN's First Class (Comics and Movie versions), its now time to move the spotlight to the other members of the team.

Who is Colossus?
Colossus is Piotr Rasputin, a Russian mutant who has the ability to transform his entire body into organic steel. The side effect of this transformation grants him tremendous strength and durability.
Colossus is a Marvel Comics superhero created by writer Len Wein and illustrator Dave Cockrum, he first appeared in Giant-Size X-Men #1 (May 1975). A Russian born mutant, who is by far the physically strongest X-Man. Able to transform into a strong metallic form, even without his powers he still cuts a physically imposing figure standing at 6'7". Throughout the series he has been portrayed as a quiet, shy character, honest and innocent. A talented artist, he only reluctantly agrees to use his powers in combat, feeling it is his responsibility to use his abilities for the betterment of human and mutant-kind.
CHANGING APPEARANCES
Colossus's powers manifested during his adolescence. He was content simply to use these powers to aid the people from his place; however he was soon contacted by Professor Charles Xavier and recruited him for a new team of X-Men. Colossus’ first costume was designed by Professor X. It contains a pair of blue pants but, as the costume is made of unstable molecules, they vanish when he transforms into steel.
